When evaluating a non-compete in Nebraska, courts typically apply a "reasonableness" test focused on: (1) the legitimate business interest the employer is trying to protect (trade secrets, customer relationships, training investment); (2) the geographic scope (city, state, nationwide); (3) the duration (months vs. years); and (4) the impact on the employee's ability to earn a living.
